Battered Wood began with the scuffed, beat up cupboard door which I pulled out of a pile of rubbish. This is one of the pieces that has to do more with certain elements coming together than with a complex story. The central image is of a house near the Yacht Club in Bay St. Louis, and it is surrounded with yarn, a piece of formica, an leather case of some sort, and a piece of metal. 17" x 21" SOLD
